About the service
Your own towel is easy to lose among a dozen identical ones at the pool or beach — but with an embroidered name or monogram you'll recognize it instantly. I embroider names, initials and small motifs (palm tree, anchor, wave, sun) on large terry towels for pool and beach — on the corner, along the border or in the center.
Dense terry requires a stabilizer backing so the stitches lie evenly and don't sink into the pile loops — without it, the embroidery "shifts" over time. Smoother towels with a velour face, on the contrary, hold fine fonts and small details perfectly. I have a library of fonts — from strict printed capitals to cursive script, and I sketch out the monogram (a single letter, a classic three-letter one or a family "stack") in advance before touching the fabric.
I choose polyester thread designed for contact with chlorinated and sea water and resistant to fading in the sun: the embroidery stays sharp all summer and doesn't fade after a couple of swims.
Families often order a set for everyone at once — the font and thread color are the same, but the name on each towel is different, and the whole beach set looks unified, but not "twin-like". If desired, I'll add a date or short signature for a wedding or vacation set.
