About the service
Hard water gradually damages pipes, water heaters and household appliances, leaves white deposits on faucets and makes laundry feel stiff after washing. I have been installing ion-exchange water softeners for the entire house for more than nine years and know how to solve the problem at its source rather than deal with its consequences.
I always start work with a water hardness measurement and inspection of the water inlet, system pressure and the location for installing the tank and salt storage. I calculate the resin volume and station performance based on actual water hardness in degrees and the number of people in the house, rather than simply installing the first model that comes along — incorrect selection is often the reason for complaints that "the softener doesn't work". The work includes installation of a bypass node, laying a drainage line to code, connecting the brine line and complete configuration of the control unit for your actual water consumption rather than factory default settings.
What is included in each order: removal and disposal of old equipment, all necessary fittings for connection to the main line, a tested bypass valve for system maintenance without shutting off water to the entire house, a test regeneration and rinsing cycle, as well as detailed instruction — how to read the control unit readings, add salt and timely notice signs of resin wear. At the same time, while working at the inlet, I always check the condition of the water heater's magnesium anode — hard water accelerates its wear, and it's cheaper to catch this beforehand.
I work with equipment from various manufacturers of resin tanks, and when necessary, I install a mechanical pre-filter in front of the softener to protect against sand and rust — this noticeably extends the service life of the resin. A typical installation takes one full working day including configuration and testing; I provide a written warranty on plumbing connections. From recent projects — installation in a cramped basement, moving the unit to an insulated garage in a cold climate and comprehensive solutions combining softening and iron removal for well water. Write your city, water source (city water supply or well) and send a photo of the inlet location — I'll give you an exact price before starting work.
