About the service
I work with agricultural drones — spraying crops and monitoring their condition via NDVI imagery — and mainly work with small and medium-sized farms. For processing, I use an agricultural drone sprayer with liquid flow control and RTK navigation: the product is applied precisely along field boundaries with no overlaps or gaps, which are nearly inevitable when using a tractor or backpack sprayer on uneven terrain.
Before flight, I always confirm with the client the crop, pest, or issue, product application rate per label, and drift restrictions — especially near water bodies, apiaries, and neighboring plots. I plan the route in specialized software, fill the tank by calculation, and the flight follows a calibrated path with consistent height and speed, providing uniform droplet coverage. Depending on terrain and refill point access, I can treat 15-25 hectares per day.
I conduct crop monitoring on a separate flight with a multispectral camera: I stitch images into an orthophotomap and obtain an NDVI map where problem zones are visible long before they can be spotted by eye — nitrogen deficiency, underwatering, early disease stages. I attach a brief report to the map indicating weak areas and recommendations for what to check first. I can fly regularly, once every one to two weeks, to track dynamics over the season.
The delivery package includes flight log, treatment coverage map, NDVI orthophotomap in GeoTIFF format, and a clear PDF report. I have liability insurance and an external pilot certificate; I handle all airspace notifications. A monitoring flight with analysis takes 2-3 days, spraying is planned for a weather window and confirmed 24-48 hours ahead. I'm ready to start with a test plot before taking on an entire field.
