About the service
If you have an old dresser, worn cabinet or nightstand at home, inherited or purchased on the secondhand market, don't rush to part with them. I specialize in hand painting and furniture restoration: bringing solid but worn-out pieces back to life, transforming them into a bright interior accent or, conversely, into a stylish neutral item that will fit into any setting.
The work begins with inspecting the piece: I check the condition of the wood or MDF, fill chips and cracks, sand the surface and always degrease it before painting — this determines how long the coating will last. The main material in my work is chalk paint: it gives a velvety matte surface and adheres well without primer on most surfaces, but if necessary I also use mineral and milk paints when the desired result requires a different texture.
I also do decorative painting separately: floral and botanical motifs, geometric patterns, gradient (ombré), stenciled ornaments, contrasting painting of facades and drawers in two colors — either completely original artwork based on your reference or a mood board of images. If you like the Provence or shabby chic style, I do professional distressing: carefully sand the edges and corners where furniture naturally wears over time, then apply dark wax or patina to emphasize carved details and relief.
Each piece receives a protective finish coat depending on usage: wax — for furniture that is rarely touched, polyurethane varnish — for dressers and cabinets in active use, so the painting and color last for years, not just a couple of months. Upon request, I change or update hardware — from simply replacing handles with modern ones to hand painting existing hardware to match the overall composition.
Before starting work, we discuss the palette, style and technique — distressing, painting, solid coating or their combination — and at every stage I send photo reports so you can see the process. Pickup and delivery of furniture around the city is possible, work with your paint or references. Give your old furniture new life — the result will look like a piece from a designer store, not just a repainted cabinet.
