About the service
I am a stained glass master and make small sun catcher pendants to order — compact glass ornaments that hang on a window, porch, or rearview mirror. Each detail is cut by hand from real colored and textured glass, wrapped in copper foil and soldered in the traditional way, not cast or printed. This offer is specifically about a small souvenir pendant, not a large decorative panel or repair of an architectural window — if you imagine something the size of your palm that can be hung on a ribbon or chain, that's exactly what I do.
First we discuss the idea: a favorite flower, zodiac sign, pet silhouette, initials, geometric mandala, or seasonal subject like a snowflake or pumpkin. I draw a sketch sized for the pendant, select glass colors and textures with you, then cut, polish, wrap in foil and solder each element by hand. I finish the edges neatly, add a sturdy hanging loop and patina the solder seams so the piece looks whole and professional, not with a bare silver seam.
Since each pendant is made individually, I keep the process connected with you: you approve the sketch and glass palette before cutting begins, and before sending I provide a photo of the finished piece. The timeframe depends on complexity and my current workload, but I always give you an exact date in advance.
— Sketch sized for a small souvenir pendant
— Hand cutting, foiling and soldering of glass
— Choice of glass color and texture with you
— Patinated seams and reliable loop or chain
— Photo of finished product before shipping
