About the service
I specialize exclusively in installing solar panels on the roofs of motorhomes, campers, and converted travel vans. Over the past several years, I have completed dozens of installations for people who live on the road full-time, travel on weekends, or are converting a van into living space themselves — and all of them needed reliable autonomous power supply without waiting months at a large workshop. I come to you with my own tools, fasteners, and cables, or you can leave your vehicle at my workshop — whichever is more convenient for you.
Every project begins with an inspection of the roof, electrical panel, and how you typically use energy, so I can properly calculate the battery capacity and power output rather than just bolt on what you've already bought. I handle the entire process: marking panel positions with even weight distribution and shade avoidance in mind, drilling and sealing mounting points so the roof never leaks, running cables through proper roof entry points into a correctly fused distribution block, and connecting the charge controller, inverter, and battery bank so the entire system works harmoniously. After startup, I test the system under real load, measure voltage and current at every connection, and show you the monitoring app so you understand what's happening with your system.
I treat every roof as if it will be soaked by rain and baked by sun for ten years — because it will. I use marine-grade sealant, stainless steel fasteners, properly torqued bolts or adhesive-based brackets depending on roof type, and protect cable runs from abrasion and UV damage. In the end, you get a neat, technically sound installation and written documentation of the equipment installed — useful for insurance or when selling.
What's included in the service:
— Installation and sealing of panels on the roof, at your location or in the workshop
— Connection of charge controller, inverter, and batteries
— Load testing and voltage/current measurement
— Sealing roof entry points with marine sealant
— Overview of monitoring app settings
— Written installation report
