About the service
I make custom "river" tables by hand — combining a solid wood slab with a live edge and poured epoxy resin that imitates flowing water. The work starts with selecting and drying an appropriate slab (walnut, oak, ash, or a species of your choice), then I design the "river" line so it follows the natural edge and wood grain rather than conflicts with it. I tint and mix the resin myself, pour it in stages to avoid cracks and clouding, and hand-sand each surface with several grit sizes before applying a safe finish coat.
Since every slab is unique, I treat each project as a separate design commission rather than template work. We discuss dimensions, table purpose (dining, coffee, desk, console), resin color, and whether you need additional effects — LED backlighting inside the "river," crushed stone, metallic pigment with iridescence. At each major stage — slab selection, "river" marking, pouring, final finishing — I send photos so you can request changes before anything becomes irreversible.
Timelines depend on size and pour depth: deep pours require slow controlled curing to stay clear and bubble-free, but I keep you updated at every step, no surprises. I work with both first-time custom furniture buyers and clients with a clear vision of the result.
— Selection, drying, and reinforcement of the slab (butterfly braces if needed)
— Individual resin color selection and optional LED "river" backlighting
— Hand sanding, safe UV-resistant finish coat
— Photo report at each stage and video of the finished piece
— Recommendations for packaging for delivery or pickup
