About the service
I'm a carpenter and have been making and installing staircase structures for many years. I offer a complete service to replace old, loose, or cracked wooden railings with new ones — sturdy, neat, and tailored exactly to your staircase dimensions. If your handrail is wobbly, balusters are cracked, and the finish is worn down to bare wood, I'll handle all the work myself: from measurement and removal of the old structure to installation and finishing of the new one.
I make each railing individually, not assembling it from a ready-made shop kit. I work with solid wood, use proper joinery, not just screws and glue, and sand and finish everything on-site so the color and grain match the rest of your interior. I separately check the attachment of posts to the stringers or wall — it's important that the new railings actually hold the load, not just look decorative.
I do all the work myself, with no intermediaries between designer, maker, and installer — one person, one timeline, clear results.
What's included in the service:
— Site visit for measurement and consultation
— Removal and hauling away of old railings
— Making handrail, posts, and balusters from solid wood to your size
— Sanding, staining or painting, protective finish
— Secure installation and final strength check
