About the service
I'm a welder with home visit service and I work like this: I take a generator, welding machine, angle grinder and a set of consumables and come right to you so I don't make you haul heavy gates or fence sections somewhere. Over years of practice I've fixed dozens of sagging gates, burst hinges and rusted railing posts, and almost always I can finish the job the same day without digging the structure out of the ground.
Most often people come to me with the same problems: a gate has sagged on its hinges and drags on the ground or won't lock, a fence section cracked along the weld seam, a railing post wobbles because rust has eaten through the base, or a forged element has lost a curl or baluster over time. First I figure out what the real cause is — soil subsidence, corrosion, weak factory weld or impact — because welding the symptom without eliminating the cause means coming back to the same spot in six months. Where metal has rusted through, I cut out the damaged area and insert new steel rather than welding over weakened metal so the repair actually holds.
With my own generator I don't depend on your outlet, I only need access to the gates or railings themselves. After work I clean up scale, dust from the angle grinder and metal scraps, and apply primer to bare metal right away so rust doesn't start again overnight. If it's easier and cheaper to replace a structure entirely than repair it, I'll tell you that right on the spot instead of dragging money out of you for pointless repairs.
What's included in the service:
— Home visit, inspection and honest diagnosis of the real cause of failure
— Welding of cracked seams, hinges and brackets
— Cutting out rusted areas and welding in new steel
— Straightening bent doors, posts and crossbars where possible with the metal
— Rust treatment and priming of repaired areas
— Complete cleanup of scale, dust and scraps after work is finished
