About the service
I am a professional furniture restoration carpenter with years of experience refreshing wood furniture, and I'm happy to restore your faded or damaged furniture to a fresh, well-maintained look. A dining table covered in scratches, a dresser with faded finish, an antique chair, or kitchen cabinet doors that have lost their shine — I handle the entire process: from inspection to final lacquer coating, all by hand, in my own workshop, with professional materials.
The work begins with assessing the piece: wood species, condition of the old finish, presence of cracks, chips, or water marks. Then comes removal of old lacquer or paint, sanding in several stages with sandpaper of different grits until the surface is perfectly smooth, elimination of minor damage (loose joints, veneer chips), application of stain in your chosen shade, and protective coating in several layers — lacquer, polyurethane, or oil, depending on the piece and your wishes. Before applying the stain, I always test it on an inconspicuous area and send photos at each stage so the result isn't a surprise.
What is included in the service:
— Inspection and consultation on wood type and finish options
— Complete removal of old finish and sanding
— Minor repairs (joints, chips, veneer separation)
— Staining in your chosen color
— Multiple layers of protective coating with hand polishing
— Photo report and care recommendations after completion
