About the service
I am a carpenter and make custom pet furniture: scratching post complexes, dog houses, beds and feeding stations that look like part of the interior, not a foreign object. Store-bought pet furniture is almost always the same template — bright carpet, standard sizes that either don't fit in the corner or leave empty space by the wall. I work differently: I come to your actual conditions — wall color, flooring, existing furniture in the room, and the free space you really have.
Before I start working with materials, I ask for photos of the room, exact dimensions and explain what I take into account: an elderly dog needs low steps and a soft climb, an active cat needs height and several levels for rest, and a puppy that chews everything needs stronger materials than a calm adult cat. I make a sketch, coordinate materials and color with you, and only then start cutting wood. I work with solid wood and quality plywood without particle board that sags and smells, sisal rope for scratching posts and removable covers that can be washed. All corners are sanded, all coatings are safe for animals.
I've made scratching posts from floor to ceiling disguised as a shelving unit, houses that replicate the facade of a client's country home down to the stain shade, and beds that slide under a console table. Whatever the concept, I'll turn it into furniture that your pet will actually use and guests will notice.
