About the service
I develop cost calculators for the service sector, and window tinting is just the case where the price really depends on measurable parameters: the area of glazing, the type of film and the number of windows. Instead of a visitor writing in a chat and waiting for a manager's response, they enter the data themselves and immediately see an approximate amount — this eliminates some routine questions and brings you already qualified clients who understand the price range. I'll adjust the calculation logic to your price list: base price per square meter by film types (tinting, mirror, protective, decorative, atherm), number of windows, area of each, as well as markups for installation, removal of old film and work at height.
I create the calculator in pure JavaScript without heavy libraries — it doesn't conflict with your current website theme and doesn't slow down page loading. The layout is responsive: on a phone the form looks just as neat as on a computer, which is important because many compare contractors from mobile. Based on the calculation results, you can display an application form where selected parameters and total amount immediately populate — applications will come to you on email or in CRM already with clear context, without needing to ask for details. If you maintain prices in a spreadsheet, I'll set up rate loading from there so you can change prices without code edits.
