Over the past few years, I've built and launched more than a dozen price monitoring systems for online stores, distributors and manufacturers — from a simple script that checks five competitors' prices once daily to a full platform with change history and Telegram and email notifications. I work with parsing of any complexity: regular HTML pages, sites with dynamic JavaScript loading, catalogs with bot protection and CAPTCHAs — I pick the technology for the specific platform rather than trying to force one universal template. The task purchasing managers usually come with isn't just "collect prices" but "find out about changes in time and don't drown in tables." So in each project I build in convenient reports: category summaries, price dynamics comparisons over time, Excel exports or direct CRM integration. I separately set up alerts — by email, messenger or right in the interface — for competitor price drops, new products appearing in the catalog or changes in stock. What's included in development: — competitor site analysis and data collection method selection; — parser with execution schedule and blocking protection; — database with complete price change history; — reporting panel and alert system for purchasing department needs.
