About the service
I design and configure production API gateways on Kong, Tyk and AWS API Gateway so your partners get secure, metered and managed access to services. Over the years I've moved dozens of teams from random reverse proxies and custom middleware to a single control plane where authorization, rate limiting and routing live in one place. I start by analyzing your current services and traffic, then design the gateway topology for your latency budget and deployment model — containers, serverless or hybrid next to origin.
My work covers the entire lifecycle of the perimeter. I configure authentication and API key issuance, OAuth2 and JWT verification, mutual TLS where partners require it, and precise rate limiting with per-consumer quotas so one client doesn't eat all the capacity. I set up routing and path rewriting, response caching to reduce origin load, and clean API versioning so you can roll out incompatible changes without midnight calls to integrators. Everything is delivered as reproducible configuration, not clicks in the console, so staging and production don't drift.
Beyond infrastructure I give your program a face and feedback. I raise a developer portal where partners self-register, read live documentation, grab keys and see their own consumption, and connect analytics dashboards so you see traffic, error rate and slow endpoints in real-time. The result is an API perimeter you can safely open to the outside world while still measuring it. Typical packages of work:
— Kong or Tyk cluster installation and hardening with config via CI
— AWS API Gateway with usage plans, WAF and custom authorizers
— rate limit, quota and cache policies tailored to your real traffic profile
— developer portal, key management and consumption analytics
