About the service
I will write clean and working scripts and data processing pipelines in the Rye programming language. Rye is a modern high-level dynamic language in the spirit of Rebol and Factor: homoiconic, with a functional orientation, created for scripting, data transformation and embedding in other tools. If you have a task of this kind, I will bring it to completion.
What I do:
— Console scripts and small automation tools that read, clean and reformat data.
— Data pipelines: receiving from CSV, JSON or HTTP API, transformation, validation and writing the result where needed.
— Glue code that connects services together and runs on a schedule.
— Embedding Rye in an existing host program, helper functions and a small dialect for your domain.
— Refactoring chaotic one-off scripts into readable and maintainable Rye code.
How the work goes: you describe the input, output and rules; I ask a few precise questions and send you a working script with comments and brief run instructions. I test each delivery on real data examples before transfer. The code remains idiomatic, and you can easily extend it later.
Why Rye: the homoiconic block style makes data processing logic short and expressive, so pipelines remain readable rather than turning into a wall of boilerplate code. Order a gig and tell me what needs to be transferred, parsed or automated.
