Games on Godot and GDScript
Service description
I develop games and game systems on the Godot engine using GDScript — a Python-like language at the core of the engine. Do you have a ready game concept, a rough prototype, or one stubborn mechanic that won't start — I turn it into clear, readable code that runs stably on desktop and mobile devices.
What I do: gameplay code for 2D and 3D, character controllers, enemy AI and state machines, inventory and dialogue systems, saving and loading, menu and interface navigation. I properly structure scenes, connect nodes through signals instead of tangled references, and create reusable custom nodes so the project stays manageable as it grows. I also handle shader integration, particle effects, tween animation, and camera work.
Beyond functionality, I care about how the game feels and how the project is organized. I follow Godot's "nodes and scenes" philosophy, keep scripts short and focused, name entities clearly and comment on complex parts so any developer can continue the work. I use autoload singletons, resources, and exported variables the way the engine intends.
Export is part of the work: I configure builds for Android and desktop, test touch controls, handle aspect ratios and safe areas, monitor performance on mid-range phones. Need a starter template, a vertical slice, or help with a project someone abandoned — I can jump in at any stage.
Describe your idea, target platforms, and timeline — I'll send you a clear scope of work with milestones. You get commented source code, a working build, and a brief breakdown so you can develop the project independently.
