I develop low-level software in Cyclone — a safe dialect of C that preserves the speed and predictability of familiar C but eliminates entire classes of errors behind most security incidents. If you have unsafe C code that leaks memory, dereferences dangling pointers, or reads out of bounds, I'll port it to Cyclone and let the compiler prove these defects are absent. My work centers on three things. First, region-based memory management: I map object lifetimes to explicit regions, so allocation and deallocation are checked at compile time, not left to hope during execution. Second, pointer safety: I employ fat pointers, bounded arrays, and Cyclone's tagged union and non-null qualifiers to prevent out-of-bounds and null dereference from compiling at all. Third, careful porting: I take an existing C module, translate it idiom by idiom, and keep behavior unchanged, while the type system now guarantees safety. Over the years I've ported parsers, network daemons, and embedded procedures, always with regression tests confirming byte-for-byte equivalence. The result includes Cyclone sources, build wrappers, a test suite, and a written report mapping each unsafe construct to its safe replacement and explaining the chosen region structure. I also offer research support: comparative analysis of Cyclone against modern alternatives and prototypes showing whether your code is a candidate for migration.
