D-language developer — fast native systems and backend
Service description
I am a systems developer who works in the D programming language, and I build fast native binaries where speed, memory control and clean maintainable code all have to hold at once. D is my main tool because it gives me the raw performance of C and C++ together with a modern type system, garbage collection I can switch off where it matters, and compile-time metaprogramming that removes whole classes of runtime cost. I use it to write backend services, command-line utilities, data-processing pipelines and performance-critical modules that need to run close to the metal without turning into unreadable code.
My strength is squeezing real throughput out of a design without sacrificing safety. I profile carefully, cut allocations, use ranges and slices instead of copying, and lean on templates, mixins and compile-time function evaluation to generate specialised code at build time rather than paying for it at runtime. When a project already lives in C or C++, I bind to it directly through D's interop layer, so you keep your existing libraries and I add new native components on top. I write tests, benchmarks and clear documentation, and I care about deterministic behaviour under load rather than numbers that only look good on an empty machine.
I am the right fit if you need a specialist who genuinely knows D rather than someone treating it as a curiosity. I take on green-field services, rewrites of slow hot paths, and native modules that plug into a larger system, and I stay reachable and honest about trade-offs the whole way through.
— Native backend services and daemons in D
— Performance and latency optimisation, profiling, memory tuning
— C and C++ interop, wrapping existing libraries
— Compile-time metaprogramming: templates, mixins, CTFE
— CLI tools and data-processing pipelines
— Tests, benchmarks and technical documentation
