About the service

I am a Smalltalk developer and create object-oriented applications the way pure OOP was meant to be. I work primarily in Pharo and VisualWorks, developing within a "live" image where every object, class and method can be inspected and changed right while the program is running. This image-based approach allows you to grow the domain model gradually, test ideas in seconds and evolve the system organically rather than rewriting it from scratch after each change. If clear architecture, message passing and code that reads like a description of the task itself matter to you — that's how I work.

Most of my work is modernizing inherited Smalltalk systems that silently execute critical business logic. I recover undocumented behavior, untangle complex class hierarchies, bring tests back to the project and carefully migrate old VisualWorks or VA Smalltalk code to maintained Pharo. I also connect historically closed images to the outside world through REST services, relational and object databases and modern deployment so that Smalltalk investments continue to pay off. Every change I make in small reversible steps, relying on the debugger and modular tests.

Whether you need a new Pharo application, rescue of an aging image or experienced hands to expand an existing object model — I'll help make the solution expressive and durable.
