I am a ColdFusion developer and specialize in web applications that most teams are already afraid to touch. For many years, CFML quietly powered internal portals, billing systems, insurance and government back-offices, and many of them still live on Adobe ColdFusion or Lucee today. This world is familiar to me: tag templates and CFScript, query of queries, custom tags and components, scheduled tasks and all the quirks of code written ten or more years ago. When something breaks or starts to slow down, I understand the existing logic rather than rewrite everything from scratch, and quickly return the system to working order.
In everyday work I maintain and develop live CFML applications, catch bugs that only manifest on the production server, optimize slow database queries and close security holes left by old code habits. I connect ColdFusion to SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle and PostgreSQL, integrate modern REST and SOAP APIs, payment gateways and email services so that aging applications continue to live alongside the rest of the infrastructure.
