About the service
I am an Oracle PL/SQL developer, and Oracle is not one of many DBMSes for me but the environment in which I work every day. I write stored procedures, packages, functions, and triggers that carry real business logic, and I design them so that code is easy to read, test, and safely change months later. When a report must reconcile millions of rows, when a nightly batch must complete before the morning window, and one procedure sits at the heart of an accounting process, I want that code to be correct first, then fast—and I make it fast too. With bind variables, BULK COLLECT and FORALL, cursors, collections, and analytic functions, I work as confidently as a backend engineer with a framework, keeping logic close to the data rather than dragging huge result sets across the network.
Most of my work is performance. I read execution plans, see where the optimizer went wrong, and fix it with indexes, rewritten joins, partitioning, or hints when hints are truly justified. From AWR and traces I find the exact query that really slows the system, not guessing, and I calmly explain in simple terms why it was slow and what changed. Beyond tuning, I build ETL pipelines and reporting layers directly on Oracle: loading and cleansing source data, applying business rules, stable tables and views that BI and applications can trust. I care about transactions, error handling, and logging, because a task that fails silently is worse than one that fails loudly.
I am not a universal MySQL or Postgres DBA or a backend generalist—I am the one people come to when the problem is in Oracle and PL/SQL. Describe your schema, your pain, and your timeline—I will give you an honest estimate and code you can maintain without me.
— Stored procedures, packages, functions, and triggers in Oracle PL/SQL
— Writing and optimizing SQL queries (execution plans, indexes, partitioning)
— Batch processing: BULK COLLECT, FORALL, collections, ref-cursors
— ETL pipelines and data loading (SQL*Loader, external tables, staging)
— Reporting queries, views, and materialized views for BI
— Refactoring and documenting legacy PL/SQL code
