About the service
I'm an OCaml developer: I create fast, type-safe backend services, console utilities and tooling — compilers, parsers and static analysis systems that keep large projects in order. In my work I rely on OCaml's strong type inference and expressive module system to turn vague requirements into code that fails at compile time, not in production. If you have a service that must remain correct under load, a domain model that constantly sprawls, or a parser that needs to be both strict and lenient at once, I'll offer a design where types carry invariants and the runtime simply does what the signatures promise.
Over the years I've shipped HTTP and gRPC backends, background workers and data processing pipelines in OCaml, as well as lexers, parsers and interpreters based on Menhir and ppx-rewriters. I value clean functional design: immutable data by default, explicit effects, small composable modules and a clean core in a thin I/O wrapper. I test by properties and fast unit suites, profile hot paths, confidently work with Dune, opam and OCaml's modern multicore when concurrency is needed.
I'll either plug into an existing codebase or start a project from scratch, and I always document the reasoning behind decisions so the next person understands.
