Project description
I'm looking for a developer to build a mobile app that helps regular travelers plan trips on their own, without juggling five different apps and a stack of notes. The idea is simple: one app where a person builds their day-by-day route, decides what to pack, and tracks how much the trip is going to cost, all in a single, coherent interface instead of scattered spreadsheets and screenshots.
The core of the app is a trip planner where the traveler adds destinations, arranges activities by day, and can reorder or edit the plan as things change closer to departure. Next to the itinerary there should be a packing list that adapts to trip length, destination climate and type of trip, so the traveler isn't starting from a blank checklist every time. A budget tracker should let people log planned and actual expenses by category, transport, accommodation, food, activities, and see a running total against what they set aside for the trip.
The most important requirement is offline access: once a plan is saved, the traveler needs to be able to open it, check the day's itinerary, tick off packing items and glance at the budget without any internet connection, since a lot of this happens in transit or abroad without reliable signal. I want a clean, fast interface that feels like a personal notebook rather than a corporate tool, built for iOS and Android.
What I expect from the finished project:
— day-by-day itinerary builder with drag-and-drop reordering
— customizable packing checklist templates by trip type
— budget tracker with categories and running totals
— full offline mode with local data storage and sync when back online
— simple, distraction-free interface
