I'll paint a portrait of your pet in oils on canvas

I'm a portrait artist and I paint portraits of pets in oils with the same care as I would paint a human portrait — with real paints, brush and canvas, not fabric printing. Send me a clear photograph of your dog, cat or other pet, and before I pick up the brush, I carefully study the expression on the face, the texture of the fur and how light falls on the eyes, so that on the canvas there is exactly your beloved pet, not a template drawing.

I work in layers, as is customary in classical oil painting: first a toned underpainting that sets the form and shadows, then several layers of glazes that gradually add color, depth and those living irregularities that distinguish a painting from a photograph. Every brushstroke is applied by hand to stretched canvas (cotton or linen), and at each stage I send you a photo of the work so you can see the process and request corrections while the paint is still wet. Usually an order takes from a week to two — depending on size and background detail.

This is a real painting work for the wall, designed to last decades, not an embroidered chevron or a commemorative souvenir — the paint on canvas has volume and texture that is visible and can be felt to the touch. I send the finished painting carefully packaged, ready to be framed.
