I Set Up Massage Booking With Type, Duration & Buffer Time

I design and set up booking systems specifically for massage practices, not a generic salon calendar stretched to fit. When a client opens the booking page, they first choose the kind of massage — classical, sports, anti-cellulite, or whatever menu you offer — and then the session length, since a forty-minute back massage and a ninety-minute full-body sports massage occupy completely different amounts of room in a schedule. The system then shows only the slots that actually fit for that specific therapist, on that specific day, given everything already booked.

What makes this different from an off-the-shelf appointment plugin is the buffer logic. Every massage room needs time between clients — to change linens, air out the room, clean the table, prepare oils — and I build that gap directly into the scheduling engine rather than leaving staff to track it by hand. You set the buffer once, per room or per therapist, and every booking automatically respects it, so no client can ever land a slot overlapping cleanup time.

I also handle therapists with several services of different durations, several rooms running in parallel without double-booking, and cancellations that reopen a slot immediately instead of staying blocked.
