I Develop Reading Tracker Apps With Yearly Goals

I design and build mobile applications for people who want to turn reading into a habit they can actually measure. My focus is a reading tracker: the reader adds a book, marks pages as they go, and the app quietly turns that into two numbers that matter — how far they are through the current book, and how far they are through their goal for the year. No fiddly setup, no over-engineered library import, just a fast way to log a session after closing the book.

Under the hood I build the parts that make a tracker feel alive rather than static. Progress bars update the moment a page count changes, the annual goal recalculates itself against a pace line so the reader knows if they are ahead or behind, and a statistics screen breaks the whole history down by genre and by author, so patterns become visible — how much nonfiction crept in, which author dominated the year, which months went quiet. I handle the full cycle: interface design, the mobile client itself, a lightweight backend for storing books and sessions, and data export so a reading history is never trapped in one device.

I work with both iOS and Android from a single codebase, keep the interface calm and readable rather than gamified with noise, and add small touches that matter to real readers — series tracking, re-reads counted separately, custom yearly targets, and gentle reminders instead of aggressive push notifications.
