Automatic browser setup

It is necessary to create a program for automatic configuration of user browsers.



The purpose of the program is to save the user from having to configure the browser to work successfully on certain websites. To get all the necessary settings, the user downloads the program, launches it, and waits for the necessary settings. As a result of the program, the user receives notifications about failures and successes of work, has the opportunity to get information about what changes have been made, has the ability to return the settings to the original (if they are saved).



The program is a packaged executable file that contains two types of data.

1 - Settings file interpreter.

2 - Settings files.

The interpreter of settings files must be able to perform operations to configure popular browsers. That is, make changes to the user’s PC in files, registry, browser databases so that these browsers are configured, as well as perform system calls, appeals to ABI libraries and execute other executable programs and modules.



The purpose of the Settings File Interpreter is to read information about browser settings from the settings files and perform operations to configure the browsers in accordance with them.



Typical operations:

- Adding websites to favorites.

Include access parameters to sites (trusted sites) for individual sites and templates.

Adding and removing encryption certificates to user storage.

- Configure additional browser parameters (on-off ActiveX, SSL, TLS, etc.).

Search for browsers on the user's PC, offering the user a choice about working with one of the browsers.

- Creating shortcuts for web resources on the desktop and the start menu.

- other browser settings.
