Translators Family is looking for a remote project manager with knowledge of English and/or German for a permanent and well-paid job.
The salary depends on the amount of work performed and can range from 3000 to 20 000 UAH (365 – 2500 USD).
Requirements:
- Online availability from 9:00 a.m. to 18:00 p.m. GMT from Monday to Friday. You don’t have to sit next to your computer for 9 hours. You can work through mobile communication devices.
Other schedules are also possible, including with American customers (up to 23.00 GMT).
- free PC possession,
Good knowledge (or desire to master) of software for translators, such as Trados and other CAT tools, as well as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and Adobe Acrobat,
Excellent knowledge of English, German knowledge is welcome,
Ability to conduct business correspondence in English and / or German.
Sometimes you need to communicate with customers via Skype or phone.
Experience in translation and knowledge of the translation “kitchen” will be a great advantage.

Responsibilities:
- accept orders from customers by email or through the web portal for order management
- through a search on our portal to select and appoint suitable contractors: translators, editors, QA managers, layout designers, etc.
- monitor the confirmation of orders by performers and the delivery of the finished work
- to organize communication and exchange of files between performers
- solve organizational issues on orders, calculate the amount of work, set deadlines for delivery
- perform final quality checks of translation:
- make sure everything is translated
The instructions were followed (at least what can be quickly verified)
- check the spelling, correctness of the translation of numbers, etc. via QA Xbench Program
Make sure that the file names have not been changed and all required files are submitted
File formatting corresponds to the original (if you need cleaned files)
If there are many errors, send the translation to the translator or editor or QA manager for revision.
If a little, then fix yourself.
After all the checks, hand over the final translation to the customer
- if the customer has questions or comments about the transferred translation, answer him and make the required changes (or transfer the performers to make edits).
