Project description
You need to develop an extension for Chrome that will perform simple calculations on a page of a particular site.
The page has a built-in table that is updated every minute. It is probably implemented in AJAX/JavaScript.
The extension must add data from several columns and output the result in a new column created by this extension.
We managed to insert an additional column in Chrome using Inspect Element, and this column remained after updating the table.
Some extensions work successfully with the data in this table. For example, the Skype extension successfully recognizes the phone in the table cell and converts it into a link.
We can provide a page code to assess the complexity.
The results of the calculations in the new column must be of a certain color. For example, results from 2 to 2.5 must be in green, 2.6 to 3 in red, and so on. It's only 4-5 ranges.
In the future, you will need to create an extension settings interface to change color.
Developers should be familiar with ways to protect extension code (e.g. obfuscation) and have experience placing paid extensions in Google Webstore.
We plan to develop the expansion in three stages:
1. Basic functionality.
2. Fixing bugs and adding functions (settings interface)
3. Code protection and extension through Google Webstore. We are willing to consider alternative ways to distribute the extension with the possibility of collecting monthly fees from users.
We are currently considering the implementation of the first phase. The developer must have the experience and ability to complete the rest of the development phases.
