Project description
Our users constantly email support asking if the service is down or up, and we don't have a single place to answer that honestly. I want a self-hosted public status page that speaks for the whole platform: it should run automated uptime checks at short intervals on our API, website, database, and background workers and turn each result into a clear component state — operational, degraded, or major outage. The page must be fast, mobile-responsive, and readable at a glance so visitors instantly see what's working and what's not without digging through logs. This isn't a general analytics dashboard with business metrics; it's a focused reliability page whose only job is to report current and past availability.

Beyond live status I need a full incident workflow. When a check fails or we manually declare an incident, the system should open it, let us publish timestamped updates as we investigate, find root cause, monitor, and finally close the issue, and keep a public history so people see how we handled past outages. I also want to schedule maintenance announcements in advance so planned downtime never looks like a surprise disaster. Calculate uptime per component and show a rolling percentage for the last 30 and 90 days based on saved check results so the numbers are real and verifiable, not decorative.

Subscriber notifications are essential. Visitors should be able to subscribe by email and receive messages when incidents open, update, and close, plus when maintenance is scheduled, with a clean unsubscribe. We also need an admin section to manage components, run checks, and write incident updates. I expect clean documented code and simple setup instructions.

— Automated uptime checks (HTTP, API, database, workers) with configurable intervals
— Component states: operational, degraded, partial outage, major outage
— Incident feed with stages: investigating/root cause found/monitoring/resolved
— Scheduled maintenance announcements published in advance
— Rolling uptime percentage for 30 and 90 days from saved check results
— Email subscription with notifications and unsubscribe
— Admin panel for components, manual checks, and incident updates
