Project Overview
We run an online store on WooCommerce (1,200 SKUs, ~8k monthly visitors) and need to improve the checkout experience and add a custom payment gateway.
Requirements
1. Checkout Redesign
— Single-page checkout (replace multi-step with one-page flow)
— Address autocomplete via Google Places API
— Express checkout: Apple Pay + Google Pay via Stripe
— Order summary with real-time totals and discount code field
— Guest checkout with optional account creation post-purchase
— Mobile-optimized layout (Core Web Vitals: CLS < 0.1)
2. Custom Payment Gateway Plugin
— Payment provider: MonoPay (Ukrainian acquiring)
— WooCommerce gateway class implementation
— Webhook handler for async payment status updates
— Refund flow via API
— Sandbox and production environments
— Logging and error reporting
3. Post-Integration
— QA: test card scenarios (success, failure, 3DS, refund)
— GTM events: checkout_started, purchase, payment_failed
— Documentation: plugin install guide + gateway config
Tech Stack: WordPress 6.x, WooCommerce 8.x, PHP 8.2, Stripe SDK, MonoPay REST API.
Budget: $480 fixed. Timeline: 21 days.
