Project description
The services of an industrial design specialist are required. The client has a prototype of a compact 3D scanner that will be launched into production. It is necessary to make visually attractive taking into account the wishes of the client and prepare an industrial design for it (visual, model, drawings, recommendations for production), that is, all materials with which the product can be manufactured.
It is necessary to work out a couple of options that do not greatly increase the cost of the design, but make it more presentable and complete.
Highlights for improvement:
1. Make the stand (base) of the scanner polygonal and not rounded, so that there is a combination of square shapes of the column and the base.
Details:
The podium and the base of the column are also made not with smooth surfaces, but with bevels, low-polygonal.
2. Style the rotating table in front of the scanner under the basis of the scanner.
The new scanner is similar to the Mercury City Tower. Selecting it as a sample, we also take all angles at 45°. We refuse to bend at 1 other angle. In particular, we return to the version of the front part of the column without beams (see para. Red lines on Portal-01-Top-Perspective. The required bevels at 45° are shown by the red lines on Portal-02-Left. Behind the bottom of the column, where the wires come out, a removable case is needed: remove the case, connect the wires, put the case in place - we get the appearance as on Portal-02-Left.
These are the minimum simple changes that the client has come up with himself, if the designer catches the idea and offers more interesting options, then this will only be a plus.
