Flat design got its name from the shapes it uses. It is based on a two-dimensional style that is already flat from the start. The idea is to remove additional elements - shadows, bevels, reliefs, gradients and other tools that can be used to add depth. Each element or block, from images to navigation elements such as buttons, is fairly rigid and has no additional elements on the edges, such as shadows.
