I set up exit-intent surveys that catch visitors before they leave
Service description
When a visitor's cursor drifts toward the browser's close button or the back arrow, that's the one moment you still have a chance to learn why they're leaving without completing an order. I build exactly that: a small, unobtrusive popup that fires on genuine exit intent — tracked by cursor velocity and direction, not by a timer or scroll position — and asks a single short question like 'what's stopping you from finishing your order today?' with a handful of clickable answer options.
I keep the whole thing deliberately light. No walls of text, no forced email capture, no dark patterns. The widget shows once per session by default, remembers that a visitor already dismissed it, and won't fire again on the same visit or even for several days afterward depending on the settings you choose. Answers get logged quietly so you can see patterns over time — price concerns, confusing checkout steps, missing payment methods — without any of it feeling like a research questionnaire bolted onto your store.
Technically the widget is plain JavaScript with no framework dependency, so it drops into almost any site regardless of what the rest of your stack looks like. I handle the detection logic, the styling to match your existing design, the answer storage, and a simple way for you to review results — a small admin table or a webhook, whichever fits your setup better.
What's included:
— exit-intent detection tuned to avoid false triggers on mobile and fast scrolling
— one customizable question with editable answer options
— frequency capping so the same visitor isn't asked twice
— lightweight results log you can export or view directly
