Project description:
It is necessary to develop a network design for connecting 30 computers in the study room. Interactions with existing networks are not taken into account.
List of tasks for the design of LANs
1. Select the topology of the LAN (and justify the choice), determine the design solutions by sections:
(1) Selection of network topology:
(2) Selection of lines of communication:
(3) Selection of subscriber (working) stations
(4) Selection of servers
(5) Selection of network adapters
(6) Selection of repeaters
2. Draw a functional diagram of the LAN and make a list of hardware.
3. Select the optimal LAN configuration.
4. Draw an indicative diagram of the cable network with reference to the premises and perform the calculation of the length of the cable connection for the selected topology, taking into account the transitions between floors. Because there are limits on the maximum length of a single LAN segment for a particular type of cable (see below). (a) and a given number of workstations, it is required to establish the need for repeaters or other active network equipment.
I will send more information and the diagram of the office to e-mail.
