Project description
An optimization logistics problem is required. Find the optimal location of two centers for cargo reception for transportation from 23 points (district centers) of the region. The weight of the cargo and the distance table are known. Stages:
1. We perform: the area is strictly divided into two parts in advance and from 3 to 5 possible points (for each of them) of the location of the centers, we choose the optimal ones.
2. Help is required: find the right computer program (and transfer it to our requirements) that will allow you to:
- the problem of paragraph 1 to solve by finding arbitrary (optimal) points for the location of logistics centers within each of the two zones. The criterion is the annual volume of traffic (tonn/kilometers per year).
mathematically substantiate the ineffectiveness of the alternative division into zones among competitors (based on the same data)
- the same, but allowing to move the boundaries of the two zones arbitrarily, supplementing the conditions by dividing the regional center (1 point with the largest volume of cargo) into several inlets for the correct calculation of zoning;
3. After the agreement is concluded, we will receive a serious order with a detailed and real flow calculation, where you will need a constant programmer for logistics to process and analyze a large amount of data. You can go remotely.
We are in the recycling business, not the transportation business, so there are no contacts. Ideally, we are looking for a programmer from (for) a logistics company.
