Work description:
A bedroom for a young couple from Tokyo in a modern classic style. In this project we tried to combine such currently relevant shades as cool turquoise and warm beige. Our task was to bring the clients' favorite turquoise color into the interior in such a way as not to overload the space and keep it light and cozy. The client, a fan of the Renaissance and the "Hermitage", asked to keep the classic style, but in a way that her husband - a Japanese man accustomed to minimalism and modernism - would also like.
In the end, we managed to succeed, and to do so we used the following techniques:
- The soft headboard of the bed is made using the tufting technique.
- The walls and ceiling are decorated with polyurethane moldings.
- The turquoise color is the accent and is reflected only in such details as curtains, pillows, and fragments in the wall moldings.
- The carpet was purchased by the clients in Iran; it has a deliberately worn texture and adds an effect of antiquity to the interior.
- The sliding doors to the dressing room are fully mirrored, which visually enlarges the space and additionally reflects the light from the window.
- The mirrors have diamond engraving in the form of rhombi.
- Floor covering - laminate.
- Wall covering - deep-matte paint in "dusty powder" shades.
