Work description:
The working name of the project is "DIMAVS-R".
I developed the complete structure from scratch - a metal frame, a sofa movement system (rails, carriages), a sofa locking system, the shapes (designs) of the PPU, that is, the polyurethane foam parts (seat, backrest, headrest).
The manufacturing technology was also developed, including the production tooling.
This three-seat automotive sofa has three main positions: working seated (backrest at an angle, seat horizontal), working reclined (both backrest and seat horizontal), transport (both backrest and seat vertical). The sofa moves along rails and has three three-point seat belts.
Regarding passenger safety, the sofa complies with UNECE regulations Nos. 14, 17, 80, 118.
In the working seated position the sofa is used as an ordinary comfortable automotive sofa with an adjustable backrest. If necessary, the rightmost backrest can be folded down, freeing up space for passage behind the sofa.
In the working reclined position the sofa unfolds and forms a horizontal surface. If you place two sofas one behind the other and unfold them, you get a comfortable, spacious sleeping place.
In the transport position the sofa folds and moves forward or backward, freeing up the minibus cabin space for cargo.
The sofa has carriages for moving along the rails, which allow it to be fixed in any position.
