Work description:
Back in very distant times our ancestors began to notice the healing properties of metals and gradually started using them as a remedy in the fight against ailments. The healers of those times noted the fact that people who wore copper crosses, for some reason, fell ill with cholera less often. In medicine they often resorted to the help of a copper plate, applying which to a bruised spot helped prevent the appearance of a bruise. Archaeologists increasingly lean toward the idea that people who lived in those times wore such a large quantity of ornaments on their bodies not to display their wealth, but as a means of fighting diseases and protecting themselves from demonic forces. Scientists cannot say with certainty which metal was discovered first, but they nevertheless conclude that it was gold; its frequent descriptions in ancient manuscripts and mentions in texts carved on stones attest to this.
