Work description:
Bonjour, ladies) I think everyone will agree that we women so want to look beautiful at all times, even during a crisis and economic turmoil. So how can we preserve our captivating femininity and allure even in tough times? We have a couple of tips we're happy to share with you!
Of course, in hard times, when we have to change our preferences and shop at cheaper stores (after all, you and I will never go without something new under any circumstances, right?), the luckiest are those who know how to sew and knit. These fortunate ones will never suffer from a lack of outfits.
But if you can't do any of this either, there's no need to despair, because we'll teach you how to decorate clothes easily, quickly, and at no cost.
Your wardrobe holds just three skirts, a pair of jeans, a shirt, and a tank top? No problem! You can diversify your look with a fashionable collar made by your own hands - though it's gotten a bit overused, it's still relevant. For the collar, you need to make a cardboard pattern (the base), then cut it out and wrap it in the fabric you have on hand. There's no need to buy anything - use scraps of old jeans and the like. Sew the edges of the collar so the cardboard doesn't stick out, and iron it. This is the everyday version.
Or even simpler - borrow the collar from your significant other's old shirt. For a festive collar, take scraps of lace or satin fabric (believe me, every home has some, you just have to look). Beads, large pearls, rhinestones, small and large sequins, and hand embroidery in satin stitch or cross-stitch will serve as decoration.
Are you inspired to sew a bow tie? You don't even need a pattern for that: cut out two rectangles, sew them together, and pinch them in the middle with a ribbon. And there's a new accessory ready!
With braid trim you can decorate a blouse or skirt you've grown tired of, and even breathe life into a wardrobe item that's already worn out (if, for example, you drape braid over the frayed edges). Braid and cord will also help refresh an old coat.
Got a hole in the most visible spot? Patches to the rescue, which can be made in the shape of pockets for double benefit. And also bows made of ribbons. Simple and always in demand. We'll need a pair of ribbons and some glue. Make a loop by joining the ends of the ribbon together, attach them to the opposite side of the loop so that you get a bow. Tie another little ribbon around the middle of the bow, attach the ends of the second ribbon at the back, and cut off the excess.
During a period of financial constraints, let's not forget about stock outlet stores and sales. Of course, I don't advise you to stoop to second-hand stores, since clothes hold information about their former owner. Why would you want someone else's sorrows and problems, which you risk getting as a bonus to the fabulously low price of a "brand-name" dress?
