Making an arch yourself is not a difficult task at all. You will simply need to do everything carefully, neatly, with the use and application of ingenuity.
A semicircular shape is the traditional ordinary arch. To give the arch the required shape, you need to choose the thinnest type of drywall - ceiling drywall, if you need a semicircle shape that will be created in the opening of a concrete or brick wall.
Install a base in the doorway. The base must be rectangular in shape, and due attention must be paid to the corners, so that the structure does not become skewed later. To measure the parallelism of the profile being fastened, the angle of the required structure is checked. You need to use a compass. First of all, draw two similar semicircles on the sheet of drywall. An alternative to a compass is a thread that can be attached to a pencil, the other end - to a self-tapping screw screwed in advance into the center of the hypothetical circle.
Instead of thread, wire will also do, copper would be better, as it works out well in the end since it does not stretch. Cut the strips marked with a pencil using a sharp blade.
For cutting the arch, it is good to use a hacksaw or a jigsaw. You need to do it carefully, so that no pieces break off. Using screws, attach the blanks to the metal profile.
