I mount things on walls for a living, every day, so when I hang curtain rods, shelves, mirrors, televisions or kitchen appliances they stay put for years, not just until the first suitcase lands on the shelf. The job never starts with a drill: it starts with marking. I check the line with a laser level, scan for hidden wiring and pipes with a detector, mark every anchor point, and only then reach for the hammer drill. I match the fasteners to your wall exactly — concrete takes proper anchors and expansion plugs, brick takes its own, aerated concrete needs a chemical anchor or special spirals, and plasterboard needs toggles or molly bolts rated for the real load, because an ordinary plug simply pulls out. I hang curtain rods so the curtains glide without snagging; I line multiple shelves up on one level; I fit a television to its bracket with a load check and tuck the cables away neatly. Kitchen cabinets and extractor hoods go up with the tiling height and sockets taken into account. I always clean up after myself: I vacuum the drilling dust as I go, the holes come out clean, and I cover furniture and floors. I arrive with my own tools — hammer drill, laser, detector, a full bit set and all the consumables — so you won't need to buy anything except non-standard fixings for heavy items. A typical set of a few rods and shelves takes me a few hours. Tell me the address and what needs hanging, send a photo of the wall, and I'll say which fasteners I'll use and how long it will take.
