Hello, there!
We need a translation from Italian to Russian. Libretto of Mozart’s opera Don Juan
Total volume: 40,000 characters.
Test requirements:
1. A poetic translation is needed, because there is an Italian poetic text, that is, the translation must correspond to this.
2. We need a translation in modern language – this is a very important requirement, since we have a pseudoliterary, hair-cooked translation, this will not work. It should be the language we speak today in real life, conveying above all the expression, tension, passion and mood of the hero. Let it be acceptable, used jargon, it is absolutely normal. The main thing is to avoid “beautiful” literature about nothing.
3. You need to keep all the accents that are in Italian. I mean the accents in the line, strong words, for example: "Finka gave wine, alla mia testa ..." (sorry for the Russian transcription) - this is very important for the musical line, because it will be sung. In other words, you need to keep the poem size.
I am putting a test text for translation. If we're happy with the transfer, we can talk about the price.
